Congratulations to Matter Machar for winning the Victorian Trainee of the Year Award at the State Training Awards held at the Docklands last Thursday 21st August 2008.
Matter completed a Traineeship in Youth Work through LINK Employment & Training Group Training with his host employer the City of Greater Dandenong - Youth Services. Matter is dedicated to helping young people in the City of Greater Dandenong and is a fine example to other young adults in the region.
Matter will now go on to compete for Victoria in the Australian Training Awards to be held in Darwin in November 2008 and represent Victoria and the Group Training Australia sponsored TODAY'S SKILLS/TOMORROWS LEADERS development program in Canberra in September where he will meet senior federal government ministers, shadow ministers and MP's.
